Our responsibility to society and the environment is at the heart of our corporate purpose: we work towards a more sustainable world while enhancing everyday quality of life with our high-performance, innovative PP (polypropylene) food packaging. To this end, we have set ambitious targets and are committed to a philosophy of continuous improvement. Our sustainability strategy is built on the pillars of Environment, Social, and Circularity, and is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sustainability is a core strategic value for us. We aim to grow while preserving our values and strengthening the circular economy. We optimize our production, maximize the performance of available resources, reduce waste generation, and integrate production scrap into recovery processes for suitable product lines. Our goal is to provide our customers with optimal PP packaging solutions that minimize the use of material, energy, and time. We are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that enable the use of Post-Consumer Recycled PP (PCR-PP) wherever possible. Together with our customers and partners, we continue to push the boundaries to achieve a truly circular economy.
Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to protecting the environment and minimizing our impact. The climate crisis demands action across all sectors, and the food packaging industry is no exception. At Packmaster, we take responsibility by focusing on our operations, products, and solutions. We are dedicated to the conscientious management of natural resources and continuously seek improvements in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and recyclability.
What are our solutions?
- Reducing plastic pollution at source: Facilitating entry into recycling streams through mono-PP design and NIR-compatible label and pigment selections.
- Renewable energy and efficiency: Implementing projects that lower energy intensity in production, adopting a zero-waste-to-landfill approach, and optimizing processes.
- Support for environmental projects: Fostering awareness and driving R&D through collaborations with civil society and educational institutions.
- Product development for circularity: Offering lightweight PP lid-and-container solutions, incorporating PCR-PP content in suitable product groups, and reducing logistics-related CO₂ emissions through high stacking efficiency.

Circularity
Our goal is to manage the production and post-use life cycle based on a closed-loop principle. Mono-material PP design, design-for-disassembly to enable recovery, the controlled reuse of process scrap, and the integration of PCR-PP in suitable products form the foundation of this approach. We believe that giving packaging a “second life” is key to reducing plastic pollution and decreasing the consumption of fossil resources. The PP food packaging we produce is recyclable within the bounds of local infrastructure capabilities.
